Oribe Canales was born in Cuba in 1950’s and moved to the United States as a young child. He discovered his passion for hairstyling while working as a model in New York City in the 1980s.
Oribe quickly gained a cult following among hairstylists and beauty enthusiasts. He is known as the man behind the rise of the 90s supermodel. He is well loved and helped create looks for Jennifer Lopez, Meghan Markle, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington...the list goes on.
Over the years, Oribe has expanded its product line to include shampoos, conditioners, treatments, all of which are formulated with the highest quality ingredients and designed to deliver the best salon-worthy results.
In 2008, Oribe was joined by partners to create Oribe Hair Care. The trio shared a vision of creating a luxury hair care brand that would embody the glamour and sophistication of tribes signature styles. They wanted to create a line of products that would not only make hair look beautiful, but also feel luxurious and indulgent.
Sadly, Oribe Canales passed away in 2018, but his legacy lives on through his well-known hair care brand. Today, Oribe Hair Care is a global brand with a presence in over 40 countries and is a testament to Oribe's vision and commitment to excellence.
