WHAT GOT YOU INTO YOUR JOB: I’ve always loved taking pictures + doing anything that requires creativity or thinking outside of the box. I also like to switch things up a lot, so being in social media I have the freedom to be creative in different areas + try new things. I love being unique + finding ways to stand out so getting to scroll Pinterest, find inspo + watch the visions come to life is a dream job for me. I never thought my job would be Instagram, but now it's a forever kind of thing.

WHAT GOT YOU INTO YOUR JOB: I originally got into hair when I randomly applied at a hair salon at 15. After starting cosmetology in high school I knew absolutely nothing about the industry but thought it would be a fun second job + a good way to meet some people. Quickly I realized, I really loved the clients + seeing what I could do to elevate their experience + had a bit of a natural talent for it. Never thought twice about not pursuing it as my career after that!

WHAT GOT YOU INTO YOUR JOB: When I was younger, I remember watching my aunt transform into a hairstylist. It wasn’t just the skill she had with scissors and color, it was the way she made people feel when they left her chair. The way a simple haircut or style could light up someone’s face, like she was giving them a fresh start, really stuck with me. Growing up, I was always a little extra, very expressive, vibrant, and a bit different. Being gay, I felt like I could understand the power of transformation and self-expression. I loved the idea of helping others feel better about themselves, and I could see that hairstyling was a perfect way to do that. It was like I had found a way to blend my love for creativity, my desire to help, and my passion for making people feel their absolute best. So, I took the leap into the world of hairstyling, and it felt like a natural fit. Every day, I get to live out that dream, making people feel amazing by just embracing who they are much like my aunt did for me when I was growing up.

WHAT GOT YOU INTO YOUR JOB: I've loved hair ever since I was a little girl. Whether it was styling my friends, or family hair, or playing with my dolls, it's always been a huge passion of mine + I love having people in my chair to chat + do what I love.

WHAT GOT YOU INTO YOUR JOB: I have always been a creative person + genuinely love connecting with others. I also grew up performing + still do now. This background led me to explore many aspects of artistry. I knew I wanted to be in an environment where I could have the freedom to express my self authentically + harbour community. So the passion to become a hairstylist came very naturally. My mission is to make who ever sits in my chair to feel welcomed, feel seen, to empower them...and give them BIG SEXY HAIR ;)

WHAT GOT YOU INTO YOUR JOB: I've always dipped into aesthetic creative avenues. From doing special fx makeup + hair for Halloween looks + friends, and then eventually did event styling for Mardi Gras Balls + weddings when I lived in Louisiana. I had this wild idea of being a key stylist for Netflix original show, so when I got laid off from my architecture job during covid I decided to take the time to turn doing hair into a full time gig, and bring the art to peoples heads. One day I was walking downtown trying to find clients to see if they wanted a free haircut while I was in school, I ended up asking someone at a coffee shop if they wanted their hair cut by me, and they happened to own a salon downtown + they offered me a job + the rest is history.

I got a job shampooing in high-school and my job didn't ever feel like work! I couldn't believe I got paid to hang out with the coolest besties ever and I knew salons were where I was supposed to be.

WHAT GOT YOU INTO YOUR JOB: I fell in love with doing hair in my grade 12 year in high school when I got my first salon job. I love the chemistry behind it and the atmosphere.

WHAT GOT YOU INTO YOUR JOB: As many people know, I’ve been a dancer my entire life and before I started my hair career I was always known as the designated hair girl with helping my teammates with their hair changes in between numbers and I loved how much fun it was getting to play with my best friends hair! Then it wasn’t until high school when I enrolled in my first cosmetology class in grade 10 and I was hooked right from the first day! I did cosmetology all throughout high school and the day I graduated I knew that this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life! Truly the best way to describe my job is that it doesn’t feel like a job! I get to hangout with my best friends play with their hair and make them feel beautiful, what else sounds better then that!

WHAT GOT YOU INTO YOUR JOB: I've always had a passion for doing hair. I worked at a salon when I was 16, it started off as work experience and then my after-school job. I loved it! Been in my hair stylist era ever since then!

I love that I have a career where I can create meaningful connections, make people feel confident + not be in a desk everyday, I'm not very tech savvy lol.
