HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN HAIR?
Growing up I watched my aunt all the time, who was a hairstylist. Watching her made me want to be a stylist and I wanted to make people feel better about themselves. Hair was the perfect job where you literally make people feel better about themselves, you get to talk about their issues and make them feel good about their own life.
HOW DO YOU WANT CLIENTS TO FEEL AFTER A HAIR APPOINTMENT?
I want people to feel like a QUEEN, or a king, but mostly queens. My clientele is mostly women. I want them leaving feeling like a bad b*tch.
WHERE DO YOU DRAW YOUR STYLE INSPIRATIONS FROM?
I watch a lot of reality TV—a lot of Real Housewives, so I like to draw inspiration from there. And also, Pinterest, that's really good.
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO SPEND YOUR FREE TIME?
I like to go out with friends, I like to have the occasional cocktail, I watch The Real Housewives a lot, so in my spare time I am probably being toxic and watching b*tches fight (laughs).
WHAT’S YOUR SIGNATURE CUT OR STYLE?
I would definitely say beach waves and curls is my signature style. I learned a lot from Amelia Jane. I took a lot of what she taught me and I put a spin on how I like to do it and that's just my thing. A layered haircut is my signature cut.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE PART ABOUT FRANKIE?
Just the environment, being around Tess and Niela, and all the other stylists, it's a home away from home. Tess and Niela are obviously my bosses, but it's so different from the average boss, it's like family. Everyone at Frankie is super welcoming and they are a safe space for me. I just love it here, a lot.
